Summary of Role:

Working on a large-scale e-commerce platform delivering business features and working with the team to facilitate an evolution towards a clean architecture, ensuring the highest level of quality for not only what our customers see, but what they can’t see, such as the backing API’s and overall foundations of the platform which you will help shape.

The successful candidate will be working with a cross functional team of front developers who operate in an Agile, Kanban environment.

  • What should you expect to be doing?

    • Developing new user-facing features
    • Maintaining and improving existing features
    • Mapping user journeys and designing experiences/prototypes
    • Running multivariate tests & measuring their success
    • Helping to optimise the application for speed and scalability
    • Collaborating with the other team members and stakeholders
    • Documenting solutions and changes
  • Skills Required:

    • 3+ years of experience working as a Front-End User Interface Engineer (or equivalent)
    • Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
    • 3+ years of experience with JavaScript
    • An understanding of technical SEO
    • Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
    • Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks
    • Experience with version control (ideally Git)
    • Critical thinking & problem solving
    • Have a keen eye and attention to detail
    • Be an advocate of great user experience

    The following skills are desirable but not essential:

    • Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science or similar relevant field
    • Experience with JavaScript frameworks (ReactJS/AngularJS/Vue.js)
    • Experience with RESTful APIs
    • Experience working in E-Commerce
    • Some .NET development experience (VB.NET/C#)
    • Experience in working as part of a team delivering test automation through a CI/CD pipeline
    • Experience in development practices such as Unit Testing, TDD, Mobbing, BDD
    • Experience with Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator
