Summary of Role:

Working on a large-scale e-commerce platform including website, microservices and cloud capabilities, delivering business features and incrementally evolving towards a clean architecture through ensuring the highest level of quality for not only what our customers see, but what they can’t see such as backing API's and overall foundations of the platform.

The successful candidate will be working with a cross functional team of front and back end developers who operate in an Agile, Kanban environment.

  • What should you expect to be doing?

    • Work with the development teams to determine product testing parameters
    • Writing test plans and creating test cases for our products
    • Troubleshooting any errors and streamlining the testing procedures
    • Documenting solutions and changes
    • Implement the appropriate engineering practices and tooling for continuous delivery and testing (TDD & BDD)
    • Coach and train individuals and teams in good DevOps and engineering practices and tools
    • Develop new tests for the front-end and back-end APIs and services (unit, integration, end-to-end, and performance testing)
    • Configure automated tests to execute reliably and efficiently in CI/CD environments
  • Required Skills:

    • 3+ years of experience working as an Automation Test Engineer or SDET (or equivalent)
    • Development of frameworks and automation tests with JavaScript, Postman
    • Experience in working as part of a team delivering test automation through a CI/CD pipeline
    • Excellent experience in development practices such as Unit Testing, TDD, Mobbing, BDD
    • Have a keen eye and attention to detail
    • Be an advocate of great user experience
  • Desirable Skills:

    • Good cloud exposure (AWS, Azure)
    • Experience working in E-Commerce including payment systems
    • Ownership of systems and domains
